Itinerary
DAY 1: TARANGIRE NATIONAL PARK:
(2Hrs drive from Arusha town to Tarangire park.
At 7:30am meet your professional safari guide at your hotel lounge ready for safari. Load all your safari bags in the safari vehicle and depart for 2hrs journey drive to Tarangire Park, the drive takes us western circuit of Arusha town. Along the route, your eyes will be opened to all the colorful and characters of Tanzania landscape and mix of farming and local market perhaps some Maasai herdsmen driving their flocks of goats to new morning pastures.
The two hours’ drive gives opportunity to general information’s from your driver-guide with depth of knowledge as he professionally answers all your questions and you just realize Tarangire park gate is before you. Begin your game drive across a rich vista of endless golden savannah woodlands that surrounds the Tarangire River. The river itself runs throughout the year and is a vital source of water for the animals of the region for the whole season. Lined with acacia and Baobab trees, the river is regularly visited by the park’s large herds of elephant population as well as other herbivores such as zebras and antelopes. It is also the best predating sport for the predators to effortlessly get the kill.
Your guide will serve you with a picnic lunch either at the picnic site or somewhere under baobab or acacia tree, the choice is yours. After your lunch continue game driving through the park, you’ll also have the opportunity to see lions, leopards, cape buffalo, and a huge variety of antelopes. If you’re particularly lucky, you might even see endangered animals such as the Greater Kudu or the Fringe-Eared Oryx. After sunset drive to the lodge or campsite for dinner and Overnight
DAY 2: NGORONGORO CRATER
(1hrs drive to Ngorongoro Crater and 6-8hrs game drive in the Crater)
After early morning breakfast, board your safari jeep and hit the road to Ngorongoro Crater.
The drive takes us through the Great Rif Valley Escarpment offering panoramic sunrise view of Lake Manyara Park nestled with green forest and flowering pink flamingoes can be seen hovering on the sky. Before descend down the crater floor, there is an offer from your guide for a stop on the crater view point with your binocular for sport of all that can be visible. Then descend is 610mitters deep down to the Caldera floor of Ngorongoro Crater; considered by some to be the Eighth Wonder of the World. When you get your first glimpse of this vast, verdant caldera from the panoramic viewpoint, you’ll soon understand why it has earned such a lofty reputation worldly. Home to over 120 species of mammals including the fabled Big Five, the Ngorongoro Conservation Area is one of the most sought-after safari destinations in the world nobody accepts to miss. It’s a particularly good place to see the endangered black rhinoceros enjoying a lonely meal out on the grass plains, as well as a place to see large numbers of hippopotamus enjoying the cool water not forgetting the pride of lions.
From the comfort of your open-roof top safari vehicle, you’ll be able to observe and photograph some of Africa’s most recognizable faces. The crater is home to a large number of predators including lions, leopards, cheetahs, jackals, and hyenas, as well as a large population of wildebeest, zebras, antelope, cape buffalo, and more. It is truly one of Africa’s premier safari destinations.
After the thrills and excitement of the day, you will have a picnic lunch along the shore of Lake Magadi with best view of flamingoes in the lake. Late afternoon ascends up the wall of crater and overnight at the lodge or camp on the rim of crater
DAY 3: DRIVE TO SERENGETI NATIONAL PARK
We take early breakfast since a big day of exploration and adventure on a long rough pumpy dusty road is ahead of us, after breakfast load your bags in the vehicle and leave the camp or lodge passing the scenic Ngorongoro Conservation Area on an en-route game drive. Along the way you will have glimpse to cape buffalo, troops of baboons, or even elephants and leopards
Ngorongoro area have lots of optional activities attracting extra fees and this includes; Olduvai Gorge Museum known as the Cradle of Mankind, the Museum commemorates some of the oldest evidence of human habitation ever found of the earliest fossil in the world of human habitation. Maasai boma visit, visit/tour one of the famous authentic Maasai bomas to witness and participate in traditional Maasai dance, and even do a little souvenir shopping at the local market. Both of the above activities attract an additional cost. Your Guide will serve you with a delicious picnic lunch just at the entrance gate picnic site of Serengeti National Park, it’s time to explore the Serengeti itself. Witness Africa’s iconic savannas landscape and be amazed by the sheer number of animals that roam these grassy plains from BIG 5 to antelopes not forgetting millions of Wildebeest and Zebra roaming in this beautiful endless plain during sunset.
Dinner and overnight in the heart of the Serengeti National Park Campsite or Lodge.
DAY 4: FULL DAY EXPLORE SERENGETI NATIONAL PARK.
(From sunrise to sunset from 7am to 6pm, 10-12hrs full day game drive in Serengeti)
We start the day with an unforgettable sunrise game drive across thi beautiful plains of Serengeti watching the sun set fire to the savannah grassland as predators such as leopards and lions hunt for their morning breakfast meal.
(Alternatively, you may wish to bled this morning sunrise on the sky with a historic HOT AIR BALLOON safari and ground landing champagne cheers awaiting well setup hot bush breakfast, it cost only extra of $650 each. Speak with your guide about how you can add this unforgettable experience to your safari as it comes as an option). OR, after sunrise game drive, you’ll return to your lodge for breakfast before departing with a packed lunch for a day long exploration of the park. Your driver will choose the best route to maximize your chances of seeing both the Wildebeest Migration and the Big Five, the hippopotamus pools. You’ll spot thousands upon thousands of animals in herds; wildebeests and zebras migrating together, tall and graceful giraffes, jumping antelopes and gazelles, the powerful African elephant and the most respected group of animals: the predators. You will have the chance to spot lean cheetahs and shy leopards, laughing hyenas, and last but not least, the king of the jungle himself; the lion. After sunset drive back for dinner and overnight at camp or lodge.
DAY 5: SERENGETI NATIONAL PARK –MASAI MARA KENYA
Your guide will always be ready for a very early breakfast, then leave the lodge or campsite for an enroute game drive to the western corridor of Serengeti Park. This is the last amazing game drive in Serengeti Pak which goes up to around 10am to exhaust all that is visible before you exit the park for a drive to Masai Mara in Kenya.
The journey to the Masai Mara will be crossing the immigration border as you will bid farewell to your Tanzanian safari team and start your Kenyan adventure with a new vehicle and new team. Late afternoon game drive in Masai Mara on your way the Camp or Lodge for dinner and overnight
DAY 6: FULL DAY IN MASAI MARA GAME RESERVE
In the search for wildebeest migrations, these two full days you will be rewarded for long game drive. In your 4×4 safari vehicle to explore the north-western part of the Masai Mara, the Mara Triangle, on extensive game drives. You can look forward to experiencing amazing wildlife encounters, especially during the time of the Great Migration! You will take a trip to the Mara River, the greatest hurdle for the wildebeests and zebras on their yearly trek. At the end of October and the beginning of November an incredible scene is set when the river has swollen to almost bursting levels. Tens of thousands of animals must cross it, knowing that possible death awaits them – as crocodiles are hiding just below the surface. It can be a gruesome sight. At other times of the year, hippos, crocodiles and other animals can also be seen at the river. As the sun begins to set, you return to your camp or lodge for dinner and overnight.
DAY 7: MASAI MARA GAME RESERVE TO AMBOSELI
Today is our last day of safari so the best thing to wake up very early in the morning for full breakfast and checkout the lodge or campsite for the final enroute game drive in Masai Mara. Exit the entrace Masai Mara and drive to Amboseli National Park. Upon reaching Amboseli Park enjoy sunset game drive in the expansive Amboseli plains which are home to herds of elephants that feed on the large acacia trees. Dinner set under a canopy of trees on the banks of Enkong Narok swamp with a spectacular view of game. Overnight at the Lodge or camp.
DAY 8: AMBOSELI NATIONAL PARK – BACK TO NAIROBI END 0F TRIP
Wake up very early morning for breakfast, the leave the lodge or campsite with lunch box for adventure game drive up to late afternoon, Leave the park and drive to Nairobi at your hotel. END OF THE TRIP
