Tour Overview

This tour will take you to visit 4 tour sites in the Northern circuit of Tanzania for 2 nights Lake Eyasi where to see bushmen, 1 night in Ngorongoro, 2 nights in Serengeti and 1 night in Manyara. All the parks host small and large mammals including birds and reptiles, accommodation can be at the standard or luxury lodges, luxury Tented camp or budget camping sites. You will enjoy and experience nature, wildlife, habit and habitat of the fauna and flora on the natural areas.

Itinerary

Day 1: SERENGETI NATIONAL PARK

This marathon 6 hours’ drive starts very early in the morning at 6:30am after breakfast, you will be picked up by your professional safari guide from your hotel in Arusha and drive to Serengeti National Park which is one of Africa’s premier game parks. Driving past Great Rif Valley Escarpment offering panoramic sunrise view of Lake Manyara Park nestled with green forest and flowering pink flamingoes can be seen hovering on the sky, Crossing through the mist-shrouded rainforests of the Ngorongoro Conservation Area with a stop on the crater view point and glimpse cape buffalo, baboons, or even elephants and leopards in the dense undergrowth, you can break up the journey with an optional activities stop at Olduvai Gorge Museum known as the Cradle of Mankind, the Museum commemorates some of the oldest evidence of human habitation ever found of the earliest fossil in the world of human habitation. Maasai boma visit,  visit/tour one of the famous authentic Maasai bomas to witness and participate in traditional Maasai dance, and even do a little souvenir shopping at the local market. Both of the above activities attract an additional cost.

After a delicious lunch at the picnic area just at the Serengeti park entrance gate , it’s now time to explore Serengeti par,  you will begin to experience the vastness of this territory and marvel at the multitude of animal and bird life while cruising through this acacia spotted savannah. You will visit a Maasai Village in the Ngorongoro Highlands (optional) where you will meet the Elders, Warriors, women and children and learn about the culture, beliefs and traditions of Tanzania’s last nomadic tribe. The afternoon game drive in Serengeti is with the most famous annual wildebeest migration which is a once in a lifetime experience. After sunset you will overnight at the lodge or camp

 

Day 2: SERENGETI NATIONAL PARK –OVERNIGHT NGORONGORO

Being your last day in this beautiful natural wild park of Serengeti, Your guide will be ready for a very early pre-breakfast sunrise game drive, (an optional for a hot air balloon flight can be arranged at an extra cost) just as the sunrise sparkle it’s bright lights in the wilderness giving you the first rays to watch cats predating as vultures swimming up in the air and other predators and grazers gathering for the morning green vegetation, The amazing wildebeest migration is an exceptional attraction (depending with the season) the game drive goes up to around 10am to exhaust this great sunrise view. You will get back to the lodge or camp for late breakfast then load your bags in the safari jeep to set off again for another EN-ROUTE game drive back through the Serengeti via a different route, offering plenty of opportunities to spot the animals that eluded yesterday now on your way to the RIM of Ngorongoro Crater for overnight at the campsite or lodge.

 

DAY 3: NGORONGORO CRATER – LAKE EYASI BUSHMEN

(Wonderful 6-7hrs Game drive in Ngorongoro 1hr drive to Lake Eyasi lodge or camp)

After early morning breakfast on the rim of Ngorongoro jump in your safari vehicle and hit the road for descend down Ngorongoro Crater. The descend is 610mitters deep down to the Caldera floor of Ngorongoro Crater; considered by some to be the Eighth Wonder of the World. When you get your first glimpse of this vast, verdant caldera from the panoramic viewpoint, you’ll soon understand why it has earned such a lofty reputation. Home to over 120 species of mammal including the fabled Big Five, the Ngorongoro Conservation Area is one of the most sought-after safari destinations in the world. It’s a particularly good place to see the endangered black rhinoceros enjoying a lonely meal out on the grass plains, as well as a place to see large numbers of hippopotamus enjoying the cool water not forgetting the pride of lions.

From the comfort of your open-pop up safari vehicle, you’ll be able to observe and photograph some of Africa’s most recognizable faces. The crater is home to a large number of predators including lions, leopards, cheetahs, jackals, and hyenas, as well as a large population of wildebeest, zebras, antelope, cape buffalo, and more. It is truly one of Africa’s premier safari destinations.

After the thrills and excitement of the day, you will have a picnic lunch in the park. Late afternoon ascends up the wall of crater and drive for 1hr to Lake Eyasi.  The local guide will take you through a historic tales of their culture and traditions, this ore one of the last true bushman tribes in Africa.

Dinner and overnight at the lodge or campsite.

 

DAY 4: LAKE EYASI CULTURAL HUNTING WITH BUSHMEN HADZABE TRIBE – BACK TO ARUSHA

Today activities start at dawn before sunrise, you’ll wake up for just a cup of coffee then join your local bushmen guide for the opportunity to hunt in the morning this is the bushmen daily activity as source of their food despite the rapid development and influence from other activists. These fascinating treasured community are only 2,000 members who offer us a window into how life in Africa was in the past. The local hunters will prepare a demonstration of hunting techniques for you. Far from being a mere performance, this display reveals a great deal about their everyday lives when they must hunt to feed their families. Also learn how the Hadzabe use distinctive motions and even skins certain animals to lure their prey close enough for easy brought down with hand bow and arrow maybe spear too.

Pay a visit at the blacksmith cave, where arrows, bows, spears, knives etc. are made locally. The nearby community people of the Datoga tribe great local famers and livestock keepers are not left aside. This mix of cultures is a fascinating example of true Tanzania’s cultural diversity.

After the thrills and excitement of the day, you will get back to the lodge or camp for full late breakfast and a short rest after the hectic day, your late hot lunch will be served in a traditional bushmen style Late afternoon drive back to Arusha. On a clear afternoon if the weather will permit, you will have the great view of Mt. Meru the second tallest Mountain in Tanzania before checking in at your hotel. END OF TRIP
